HANDCRAFTED ARTISANAL TEXTURES AND FINISHES

PATINAS

All patinas are applied by hand in the workshop. They are very labor intensive and create a starting point of which the patina keeps evolving. Parts that are regularly touched will wear off and become lighter, other parts will gradually darken over time.

BRONZE BZ01

This patina has a very elegant light brown color and makes the object shine a bit more.

NICKEL NI01 and NI02

Solid brass, nickel plated, in a glossy finish (NI01) or matt finish (NI02).

BRASS BS01

Brass polished to a glossy finish, not too shiny, not too dull.

BRONZE BZ02

Dark brown patina. Can be shiny when recently applied, but it becomes more matt over time.

NICKEL NI03

Solid brass, nickel plated, with a dark patina. This creates a very elegant look resembling old silver.

AGED BRASS BS02

A polished brass object is carefully aged to create the look of an used object which caries traces of time.

BRONZE BZ03

Very dark brown patina, sometimes almost black. To give it more depth it is finished with a layer of wax.

CUSTOM FINISHES

On request many other finishes are available, such as copper (photo) or chrome plating.

TEXTURES

Many objects are available with different textures. These are all done by hand, and therefore always a bit different. I carefully selected four textures of which I think they can really give an extra dimension to the hardware or object. Of course other finishes like brushed, mirror polished etc. are also available on request.

SMOOTH (S01)

A smoothly polished surface

CARVED (C01)

The deep carvings create a rough surface which is very tactile and in patinated objects it creates a clear difference in color between the deeper darker parts and the lighter surface.
